#3 | Track and Field Finishes Year with 18 All-Americans
It was another banner year for the Bethel University track and field program. The Royals advanced to the NCAA Division III Championships in seven different events (three indoor, four outdoor) and returned to Arden Hills with 18 All-American awards. Things started at the 2019 NCAA Indoor Championships in Boston where both the men's and women's 4x400m relay picked up All-American honors. The team of Shawn Monroe, Isaac Erickson, Nolan Metz and Carl Klamm posted a fifth place finish while Hannah Sankey, Delia Labatt, Corin McKinstrey and AddieKay Johnson placed third. Klamm began his senior postseason campaign with a fifth place finish in the 400m.

The Royals took that momentum into the outdoor season where they came home with nine All-American awards from the 2019 Outdoor Championships in Geneva, Ohio. The women's 4x400m relay team finished among the top eight once again with a fourth place finish while the men's relay placed sixth. Klamm in the 400m finished as the national runner-up in a school record time of 46.58.
