#4 | Women's Soccer Has Historic Season
The Bethel University women's soccer team enjoyed a record breaking season in 2018 with a multitude of team and individual records being tied or broken along the way. In all the Royals equaled or tied 15 different single season program records during their 13-4-1 run which earned them the second spot in the final MIAC standings and the programs first ever NCAA Regional Ranking. A complete look at the Royals season by the numbers can be found by clicking here.

From a historical standpoint, there were a lot of firsts for the Royals this past season. Britney Monteon became the Royals first ever All-American in women's soccer after earning second team honors through the United Soccer Coaches. Monteon also earned First Team All-North Region and All-Conference honors while recording a program single-season record in points (39) and assists (14).

Maggie Sipe departed as the Royals all-time points (80) and goals (32) leader while her 16 career assists sits third all-time. Sipe is now one of four Royals to be at least a three-time MIAC All-Conference honoree. She was also named to the United Soccer Coaches Third Team All-American.

Rachel Waterman put together an outstanding freshman campaign, becoming just the second Royal to be named to the All-Conference team as a freshman (Kelsey Flaherty – 2009) and the first to win the leagues honor as the top rookie. Waterman was third on the Royals with 21 points, scoring eight goals and tallying five assists.
