ARDEN HILLS, MINN.—Bethel University student-athletes Grant Nelson and Ellie Hernes each landed March 31 MIAC Outdoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week.
March 31 MIAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week
Track: Grant Nelson (Bethel)
Field: Trent Beseth (St. Scholastica)
Nelson won the Redlands Invitational 200 Meter Dash Title with a 20.91, and the 400 Meter Dash Championship with a 46.80 on March 20. Both times rank first in NCAA Division III.Â
March 31 MIAC Women's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week
Track: Ariella Rogahn-Press (Macalester)
Field: Ellie Hernes (Bethel)
Hernes claimed the triple (11.55m) and long jump (5.63m) titles at the Redlands Invitational on March 20. Both those marks rank among the top 10 in NCAA Division III. Hernes kept that momentum going in the 100 meter hurdles, where she notched fourth place with a 15.44.
The Royals will host the Gene Glader Classic on Saturday, April 11.
