ARDEN HILLS, MINN.—Bethel University has announced the resignation of head women's soccer coach Ben Linder.
Ben and his family will be relocating to Chicago to work with a Christ-centered soccer organization. He will stay on to assist with the transition through the fall semester.
"It is with mixed emotions that my family and I have decided to leave Bethel and the women's soccer program at the end of the semester. It has been such a blessing to lead and serve the women's soccer program for the last seven years. We are excited for the future but also sad to be leaving such an amazing place where we get to compete, integrate our faith, and grow as people. I will forever be grateful for my time at Bethel and the relationships created here."
Linder set a new standard for the Royals women's soccer program by leading them to a school-record 14 victories his first season in 2019, which included their first-ever MIAC Playoff win. Throughout his seven seasons, Lindner coached five All-MIAC selections, and two United Soccer Coaches All-Region honorees.
"I'm so grateful for the investment Ben has made in the lives of the student-athletes he has coached and the impact he made in the department hallways as he interacts with all of us," said Bethel University Director of Athletics Greg Peterson.
The search process for a new head coach will begin immediately following the 2025 season.
