Academically it was a record year for the Bethel University athletic department that saw four student-athletes earn the prestigious NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship this academic season. That single-year mark was a MIAC record and elevates Bethel to its now 17 student-athletes who have received the honor since 1999. Since 2015-16, the Royals have boasted eight honorees which is the most by any MIAC school.

It started in the fall with volleyball standout Tina (Hoppe) Dalki and football's Dawson Brown being named recipients. Things rolled into the winter where women's basketball All-American Taite Anderson earned the honor before women's track & field record holder Delia Labatt capped things off in the spring.

A December 2018 graduate, Tina (Hoppe) Dalki was a consistent threat on the court playing in 120 career matches for the Royals. The three-time All-MIAC honoree held a .210 career attacking percentage with 1,196 kills. A member of the 2015 Elite Eight squad, she went on to earn All-Region Honorable Mention honors her senior season. (Click here for the full release)
 
Brown is one of the best defense players in Bethel football history ending his four-year career third in career tackles with 250. The AFCA First Team All-American in 2018 as a safety had a MIAC-leading six interceptions during his senior campaign totaling up to 14 for his career, five of which were returned for touchdowns. Brown is a two-time D3football.com Second Team All-West Region and a three-time First Team All-MIAC honoree. (Click here for the full release)
 
Anderson became the second all-time leading scorer with 1,679 points and the single-season scoring queen with 554 points while averaging 20.5 points this past season. She also claimed the single-season field goal percentage record with a 62.8 percent mark surpassing JoAnn Griffin who held the record since 1980-81. Anderson became the school's first-ever WBCA First Team All-American and D3hoops.com All-American being named to the second team. The MIAC Player of the Year became the program's third four-time All-Conference honoree while being named the D3hoops.com West Region Player of the Year. (Click here for the full release)

A 2020 graduate and Cushing, Wis. native, Labatt is a seven-time All-American and was part of the 4x400m relay squad that placed third at the indoor national meet and fourth at the outdoor national meet during the 2019 season. A three-time indoor MIAC Champion in the 400m dash, she recorded a first-place finish in the same event at the outdoor MIAC meet in 2018 while coming in as runner-up in 2019. She was a strong presence in the 4x4 relay who were 2020 indoor and 2019 outdoor MIAC champions. (Click here for the full release)
