Anderson Named D3hoops.com Women’s Basketball All-American

ARDEN HILLS, Minn. – Capping out the finale of her postseason accolades, senior forward Taite Anderson was named to the D3hoops.com All-America Second Team Tuesday evening on the Hoopsville: Awards Night show. Anderson is the first Bethel player in program history to earn D3hoops.com All-America honors.

The Royals' second all-time leading scorer shattered the single-season scoring mark (511 points) with 554 points this season averaging 20.5 a game. Scoring double figures in all 27 games she played in this year, she ranked fifth nationally in field goal percentage with a program single-season record 62.8 percent.

Averaging 25.8 minutes per game and seven boards the White Bear Lake native tallied 55 steals and 16 blocks to round out her impressive stat line. She took the 18th most free throw attempts nationally going 119-180 (66.1 percent) from the charity stripe and was 23-of-39 (59 percent) from behind the arc.

Anderson adds this accolade to an already long list of honors including WBCA First Team All-AmericanD3hoops.com West Region Player of the YearMIAC Player of the Year, four-time All-MIAC honoree and First Team CoSIDA Academic All-American.

The Royals completed their historic season with a 26-2 mark while winning the program's first-ever MIAC Playoff Championship and appearing in their sixth NCAA Tournament.
