ARDEN HILLS, Minn. – Bethel University senior forward
Taite Anderson continues to accumulate postseason accolades being named the D3hoops.com West Region Player of the Year and earning her first career All-West Region honor being named to the first team.
The White Bear Lake, Minn. native shattered the previous program single-season scoring mark (511 points) with 554 points averaging 20.5 a game. Scoring double figures in every game she played this season, she ranked fifth nationally in field goal percentage with a program single-season record 62.8 percent.
Anderson appeared and started in 27 games – only missing one for an academic opportunity – and averaged 25.8 minutes per game, seven boards and tallied 55 steals and 16 blocks. She took the 18th most free throw attempts nationally going 119-180 (66.1 percent) from the charity stripe and was 23-of-39 (59 percent) from behind the arc.
Anderson has already added MIAC Player of the Year, four-time All-MIAC honoree and First Team CoSIDA Academic All-American to her postseason accolade list.
The Royals completed their historic season with a 26-2 mark while winning the program's first-ever MIAC Playoff Championship and appearing in their sixth NCAA Tournament.
