BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Freshman
Carter Sheard was named the MIAC Men's Tennis Rookie of the Year, announced Tuesday afternoon by the conference office. Sheard was also named to the All-MIAC Singles and Doubles Team with sophomore
Dylan Magistad joining him on both squads. Freshmen
Gavin Hutter and
Watson Sheard were both voted to the All-MIAC Doubles Team.
Carter Sheard • Fr. • Maple Grove, Minn.
• Becomes BU's first-ever Rookie of the Year recipient.
• Went 6-3 against MIAC opponents including a 5-2 mark at the No. 1 singles spot. The five wins at the No. 1 spot tied for the second most conference victories among competitors.
• In doubles play he went 5-4 in conference matches. He was 4-3 at the No. 2 doubles spot and 1-0 at No. 1. All five wins came with brother
Watson Sheard.
• For the season he was 16-4 overall in singles matches going 7-2 at No. 1, 6-2 at No. 2 and 3-0 at No. 3. In doubles play he was 10-9.

• Now a two-time All-MIAC Singles honoree and collects his first All-MIAC doubles honor.
• Went 6-3 in MIAC matches including a 5-3 mark at No. 3.
• In doubles action he went 6-3 while posting five wins at the top doubles spot. Those wins came with
Gavin Hutter.
• For the season he was 13-6 overall in singles play with a 10-5 mark at No. 3. He went 12-8 in the doubles matches with 11 wins coming in the top spot.

• Posted a 5-3 doubles record in MIAC matches playing in the top spot for all matches. He finished the year with partner
Dylan Magistad on a two-match winning streak.
• For the year, Hutter was 11-8 in doubles play, all matches were at the top spot.
