WEST SALEM, Wis. – In its final tune up before the MIAC Championships, the Bethel University men's and women's cross country team traveled east to compete in the Jim Drews and Tori Neubauer Invite hosted by Wisconsin-La Crosse.

The Royal's women's squad tallied an impressive fifth-place finish, out of the 20 scoring teams, scoring 174 points. The men finished 11th with 261 points.

WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
• Senior
Josie Harms continued her impressive season finishing in 15th place in a season-best 6k time of 23:08.7.
•
Anna Cargill wasn't too far behind her placing 31st with a time of 23:32.4. Her biggest jump of the day came between the 2k and 3k mark moving up 16 spots with a 4:10.5 split.

Ruby Gernandt placed 32nd and earned BU 25 points finishing in a time of 23:34.3.

MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
• Freshman
Hootie Hage paced the Royals with a 29th place finish that earned BU 23 points. Hage crossed the finish line in a time of 26:06.6.
• Sophomore
Eli Berg finished 81st and earned BU 53 points crossing the finish line in 27:20.8. He finished strong climbing eight spots between the 7k and 8k mark with a 3:21.0 split.
• Sophomore
Victor Lelinga placed 82nd and earned BU 54 points clocking a time of 27:22.0.

UP NEXT
The MIAC Championships are on deck for the Royals as they travel to St. Olaf College for the postseason run on Saturday, Nov. 2. The shotgun goes off at 11 a.m. for the women and noon for the men.
