DESTIN, Fla. – The No. 15th-ranked Bethel University men's golf team ended the fall portion of its 2024-25 schedule with a 20th-place finish out of 24 teams at a loaded Golfweek October Classic field. The 54-hole event was played at the Raven Golf Course in Sandestin Beach, Fla. And featured 18 nationally ranked squads.
No. 6 Washington and Lee (Va.) won the tournament with a three-day score of 822 (-30).
Bethel shot a season beast 878 (+26) that started strong with a 288 in the opening round, which was the third lowest of the season, and had BU sitting 12th. They finished with a 291 in round two on Monday and 299 in Tuesday's round three.
Senior
Will Karkoc led the Royals with a 13th-place finish carding a four-under-par and career-best 209. He shot a three-under-par 68 in the opening round highlighted by an eagle on the par-four 15th hole that played 298 yards. He was four-under on the back nine. He added five birdies on day two for a one-under-par 70 before closing it out with an even 71 on Tuesday.
