Royals Wrap Up 2025 Fall Season at Golfweek Classic

DESTIN, FLA.—The Bethel University men's golf team competed in the prestigious 2025 NCAA Division III Golfweek October Classic at the Sandestin Club & Resort in Destin, Florida on Sunday - Tuesday. The Royals finished with an eighth-place score of +17. Mary Hardin-Baylor (-5) took home the Golfweek October Classic Team Title with a -5, while Mitchell Bolte (-7) claimed the individual crown with a three-day score of -7.

Jacob Ferrin began the three-day event with a 76 (+5) on day one before he carded a tournament-best 69 (-2) on day two. He registered a 71 (E) on day three en route to a 19th-place final tally of +3. 

Coming in at 37th place was Zeke Roberts, who accumulated a three-day score of +7. Roberts' performance consisted of a 72 (+1) on day one, a 75 (+4) on day two, and a 73 (+2) in the final round. 

Next was Ben Mertz and Charlie Solberg, who each finished tied for 44th place with a +8. Mertz improved his score with each day as he carded a 79 in the opening round, a 73 in round two, and a 69 on the final day. Solberg's tournament consisted of a 73, 72, and 76.

Rounding out the Royals was Jesse Balc, who finished tied for 64th place with a +11. This included marks of 74, 71, and 79.
