Bethel University (B) put together an impressive performance at the Saint John's Invitational finishing tied for second out of 19 teams with a 36-hole total of 3-over par. The Royals showed depth across the lineup in a competitive field, making a strong statement with their consistent play from start to finish.
Leading the way for Bethel was the return of Jacob Ferrin, posting a top-five finish at 2-under par. Ferrin opened the tournament on fire, carding a first-round 68 that had him tied for second on the individual leaderboard at 4-under. His steady play across both rounds anchored the Royals' strong showing and highlighted a weekend of momentum for the squad. He was joined by Avery Ross and Brody Pluth, who also turned in strong efforts for the Royals. Ross finished even par for the tournament to place inside the top 10, while Pluth was just one shot back at 1-over to also crack the top 10, giving Bethel three golfers among the best in the field.
The squad now sets their eyes on the MIAC Championships next weekend at Edinburgh USA Golf Course in Brooklyn Park, Minn.
