RESULTS
ARDEN HILLS, MINN.—The Bethel University men's golf team competed at the Twin Cities Invitational, hosted by Gustavus Adolphus, at the Elk River / LeSueur / Minnesota Valley Country Clubs on October 4-6. The Royals prevailed with a second-place tally of 897 (+45).
The host Gusties won the Twin Cities Invitational with a three-day tally of 882 (+30). Ryan Engel (Concordia) claimed the individual title with a 212 (-1).
Tied for seventh place are reigning MIAC Individual Champion Jesse Balc and Zeke Roberts, who each carded a 223 (+10). Balc posted a tournament-best 72 in the final two rounds, while Roberts' outing was highlighted by a pair of 74's in the opening two rounds. Jacob Ferrin finished tied for 17th place with a 225 (+12), which included a 73 in round two. Charlie Solberg was next with a 229 (+16), good enough for a tie in 22nd place. Ben Mertz, who registered a 73 in round three, notched a 234 (+21).
Avery Ross (230, +17), Adam Wagner (232, +19), Brody Pluth (239, +26), and Carson Hannestad (240, +27), all competed for the Bethel "B" Team, who took 13th place with a 937 (+85).
The Royals will compete in the Golfweek Invitational at The Raven at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in Miramar Beach, Florida on Sunday, October 12 - Tuesday, October 14.
