Women Place Sixth, Men Place 11th at Dan Huston Invitational

WAVERLY, Iowa – The Bethel University men's and women's cross country teams competed in a competitive Dan Huston Invitational hosted by Wartburg. The Royals' women's squad notched a sixth place finish in the 18-team field while the men placed 11th.

QUOTE FROM HEAD COACH KEVIN RENGO
"It was really hot for being the last day of September so that was a big factor today, but I thought our women ran terrific. Getting a pair of top 25 individual finishes in a super competitive meet with ranked teams in the nation, I thought they did a great job."

"Grant Graber is just on a roll right now, he worked his way through the pack in the second half and really showed some of his strengths. It was a race with a bunch of nationally and regionally ranked teams and we raced as hard as we can and keep training towards the MIAC Championship meet."

Josie Harms notched a 20th place finish in a time of 24:01.30 for the Royals. Teammate Shalom Sulungaine, who placed 22nd in a time of 24:06.80. The pair executed their pack running staying in the top 25 since the 3k mark.
