NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The Bethel University women's golf team concluded its 2022-23 season with a third-place finish at the 10-team St. Olaf-Carleton Spring Invite. The Royals shot a 327 in the lone round Saturday, inclement weather forced the cancelation of Sunday's round. Wisconsin-Whitewater won the event with a 314 while Carleton finished second with a 324.
The Royals five scoring players all finished inside the top 20 of the 64-player field. Playing in their final match as Royals were seniors
Anna Tollefson,
Justine Malenke,
Sarah Rinnman and
Rachael Muir.
Of note, Tollefson will finish her career third all-time in scoring average for a career mark of 77.4 in 55.5 rounds of golf.
Greta McArthur also finishes year with a 75.4 scoring average which is a BU individual single-season record.
As a team, BU's four-player scoring average of 313.4 in 16 rounds of golf is a single-season record.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• McArthur tied for 6th with a seven-over-par 79 in the windy and rainy conditions at Willingers Golf Club. She was five-over at the turn but made a nice bounce-back on the back nine. After a double bogey on 14 she notched her second birdie of the day carding a four on the 15th green. She went two-over-par on the through the final nine.

Laura Beltman finished tied for eighth with a nine-over-par 81. She started strong with three bogeys and a birdie on the front nine to be two-over. A couple of doubles on the back stretch had her at seven over.

Jill Erickson, playing as an individual tied for 11th with an 82. After going seven over on the front nine she went three over on the back nine. She concluded her day with a birdie on par-five 18.

Rachael Muir in her final collegiate round carded an 83 that tied her for 16th.

Justine Malenke and
Anna Tollefson concluded their collegiate career with 84s that tied them for 18th.
THE SCORES
