Emerald Greens GC – Hastings, Minn. - Bethel University women's golf turned in a strong showing at the D3 Classic over the weekend, placing eighth out of 18 teams with a team score of +71 at Emerald Greens Golf Course. The Royals steadily improved as the tournament went on, highlighted by a final-round 298 that helped them finish in top half of the field.
Individually, Sophie Brantner led the way with a two-day total of +17, carding a 83 in the second round to finish as Bethel's top scorer. Raelynn Pannhoff, Christina Scheid and Madison Doeden followed closely at +19, +19 and +20 respectively. Courtney Hershberger rounded out the scoring lineup with another 83 on day two.
The Royals compete next at the St. Catherine Invite Sept. 20th and 21st.
