ARDEN HILLS, MINN.—Trent Anderson will step down from his position as Bethel University Head Women's Golf Coach following the 2025-26 season.
"It is difficult to fully express the depth of my gratitude for Trent's leadership of this program since 2010," said Bethel University Director of Athletics Greg Peterson. "For 16 years, he has poured himself into the lives of the young women he has coached, investing not only in their development as golfers, but more importantly in their growth as Christ followers. The lasting impact Trent has had off the course is even more meaningful."
The Royals achieved a multitude of benchmarks throughout Anderson's 15 seasons as head women's golf coach, a post he assumed prior to the 2010-11 campaign. Under Anderson's watch, the Royals have accumulated 28 MIAC All-Conference selections, three MIAC Players of the Year, three MIAC Rookies of the Year, two MIAC Seniors of the Year, one MIAC Individual Champion, 14 WGCA All-Region honorees, and one WGCA All-American.
Anderson guided the Royals to the 2019-20 MIAC Women's Golf Championship, which helped land him MIAC Coach of the Year that season.
All 10 spots on the Bethel University Women's Golf Record Book in Individual Career Leaders, Single-Season Averages, and Individual Low Round are occupied by student-athletes coached by Anderson.
"Reflecting on the journey since 2010, I am overwhelmed by the way God has moved, not just on the leaderboards, but in the hearts of the many young women I've been privileged to coach," said Anderson. "Throughout the years, we've celebrated multiple All-Americans, Players of the Year, Rookies of the Year, and Academic All-Americans. Yet, the true story of Bethel Golf is one of gaps filled by grace. I have always been keenly aware of my shortcomings, and I've watched in awe as God consistently provided marvelous players, dedicated parents, and supportive coaches who stood by me as we worked to build a winning culture. As I step away, I do so with a full heart, grateful for every roadblock God removed or required me to navigate through as well as every life he allowed me to be a part of."
