WHITE BEAR LAKE, Minn. – Limited to just one round of golf due to weather, the Bethel University women's golf team placed second in its home tournament, the BU Rumble at the Ridge. The Royals shot a 308 at the Oneka Ridge Golf Course that had a par 72 with 5,704 total yardage. St. Catherine won the event shooting a 302 while MIAC champions Carleton placed third with a 312.
Laura Beltman had her best collegiate finish placing in a tie for fourth with a career-low 74 (+2) round.
Greta McArthur tied for sixth with a three-over-par 75.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Beltman started the day at three over on the front nine. But she saved her best for last shooting one under on the back nine. She birdied the par four 12th green before a bogey on 13. She pared four of her final five holes while squeaking in a birdie on the par four 17th.
• McArthur started her day on the fourth tee and had a wild ride to start the day with a par, birdie, double bogey, par, bogey, bogey. On that back nine she settled in with a birdie on the par four 14th to help the cause. A bogey on one followed with pars to conclude the round.

Justine Malenke was one stroke off her season-low carding a 78. After a bogey on 12, Malenke she tapped in for par on her final seven holes. She was second in the field with 13 pars.
