Peoria, Ariz. – The No. 16th-ranked Bethel University women's golf team opened up the spring portion of its schedule placing eighth at the Westbrook Invite at the Lakes. Hosted by George Fox, the nine-team field featured ranked teams in No. 3 George Fox, No. 12 Claremont Mudd Scripps, No. 2 Redlands, No. 16 Illinois Wesleyan and No. 22 Trinity.
BU shot a 650 for the weekend carding 325s in both rounds of the 36-hole event.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Greta McArthur was Bethel's top finisher carding a 150 which tied for 12th. She opened the weekend with a six-over-par 77 with just one birdie. She bested that in round two with a two-over-par 73. Starting her day on the back nine, she picked up one of the weekend's three eagles doing so on the par-four 332-yard 13th green. She was one-under at the turn before carding two birdies and five bogeys on the final nine.

Rachael Muir finished tied for 32nd with a 162. She began the weekend with an 83 before rebounding with a 79.
• Playing as an individual,
Jill Erickson tied for 36th with a 164, her second best 36-hole mark of the year. A bogey filled round of 83 on Saturday was bested with an 81 on Sunday.

Anna Tollefson had an 84 in the opening round before having to withdraw prior to the start of the final 18 holes.

BU will look to send select individuals to WashU Spring Invite April 1-2 in Eureka, Mo. at the Crescent Farms Golf Club. The next team event comes April 15-16 at Emerald Greens Golf Course in Hastings for the Gustie Spring Invite.
