ST. PETER, Minn. – The Bethel University women's golf team picked up its first tournament victory of the season winning the Division III Classic by carding a 606 (+22) for the second straight weekend . The Royals shot the program's all-time second lowest round with a 300 on Sunday, shaving six strokes off of their 306 from round one.
The Royals, who received votes in the last Mizuno Women's Golf Coaches Association Poll, edged out No. 17 St. Catherine by six strokes and Carleton by seven strokes.
BU's "B" squad placed 11th in the 17-team field carding a 648 for the weekend.

• BU led the field in par three (3.28, +11) and par five (4.92, -4) scoring carding a tournament-best 108 pars and 19 birdies.
• Senior
Anna Tollefson tied for second shooting and even 73 both days for a career-low 146 which came in one stroke shy of first. Round one she carded three birdies, two on the front nine, before carding both her birdies on the back nine Sunday.

Greta McArthur continues to dazzle in her first season with the Royals finishing in a tie for sixth for her third straight week of finishing inside the top 10. For the weekend she has the second-best scoring on par threes going one under while carding six birdies.

Laura Beltman jumped up three spots to 21st on the leaderboard thanks to a career-low 77 in round two where she shot two-over on both the front and back nine.

Justine Malenke matched her 36-hole career-low 157
• Senior
Rachael Muir carded a 36-hole career-low 158 thanks to a career-low round of 70, seven strokes better than her previous mark, in the final round

The Royals get one last tune-up before the MIAC Championships heading to the St. Catherine Invite on Sept. 24-25. Saturday's round takes place at Oak Glen Golf Course with Sunday wrapping up at Eagle Valley Golf Course.
