WAVERLY, Iowa – Carding a 606 for the weekend, one stroke off the program 36-hole record, the Bethel University women's golf team took third at the Wartburg Fall Invitational. Bethel opened the weekend with a 309 before besting it on Sunday with a program record 18-hole low 297. That bests the previous record of 301 which the Royals carded on this exact day in 2019 at the Wartburg Fall Invite.
Illinois Wesleyan took first in the event with a 598 while St. Catherine took second with a 603.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Greta McArthur had a second-place finish shaving four strokes off of her round one score with a 71, tying the second lowest round score by an individual in program history and a new career-low round individually. She capped out the weekend with a birdie on the par-four 18th green. It was her fourth birdie of the round.

Anna Tollefson was right behind her carding a career-best 147 for third place. She picked up her stride through the final nine holes on Saturday where she went one-under with three birdies.

Laura Beltman picked up her second career top-10 finish as a Royal. Carding a career 36-hole best 152, she shot a career-low 76 in each round.
