Zach Owen was named to the 2020-21 MIAC Men's Golf All-Conference Team while senior
Spencer Kronbeck was named to the Honorable Mention Team, announced by the league office Monday afternoon.
Earning All-MIAC nods for the first time in his career, he is the first player under head coach
Nick Cocalis to be named to the All-Conference squad. Playing in seven rounds this year, Owen averaged a 76.1 ranking in the top-20 of the MIAC.
Owen's season started out strong with an eighth-place finish at the Bethel Preview where he shot a 157. He finished the season strong at the MIAC Championships shooting a career-best 222. A career-low 72 in the second round paced way for him to finish in a tie for 14th.
Kronbeck closes his Bethel career with his first postseason accoladed. The Red Wing, Minn. native carded a 77.7 season average through nine rounds. He finished the abbreviated season on a high note placing in a tie for 12th at the MIAC Championships thanks to a season-low 73 in each of the final rounds. In the 54-hole event he shot a career best 221.
As part of a Conference-wide sportsmanship initiative, the MIAC also announced the 15th annual All-MIAC Sportsmanship team for men's golf. Members of the All-MIAC Sportsmanship team are selected by their coaches and teammates as individuals who demonstrate ideals of positive sportsmanship both on and off the field of competition. Senior
