NEW PRAGUE, Minn.—Bethel University's men's golf team closed out the 2017-18 campaign with a pair of 18-hole contests this weekend. The Royals, who had perhaps the best days to golf that they've had all year long, competed in the Gustie Spring Invite on Friday, May 4 and then at the Bobby Krig Invitational on Saturday, May 5. BU finished fourth at the seven-team event on Friday and third at the eight-team event Saturday.
Leading the way both days was
Noah Bragg, who fired a 75 Friday at the par-70, 6,365-yard Le Sueur Country Club and a 72 Saturday at the par-71, 6,402-yard New Prague Golf Course.
Jon Espe and
Dallas Marvin posted 78's on Friday and
Spencer Kronbeck rounded out the top four scores with a 79. Like Bragg,
Michael Piehler also recorded a 72 in his first career meet and
Jon Espe and
Sam Jenson rounded out Bethel's scoring Saturday with a 76 and 77.
