SAUK CENTRE, Minn.—Bethel University's men's golf team took advantage of a beautiful spring weekend in Minnesota by playing their first official meet of 2018. The Royals fired a two-day score of 601 at SJU's Klinkner Classic hosted at the par-72, 7,000-yard Lynx National Golf Course.
John Espe,
Noah Bragg, and
Sam Jenson finished within four strokes of one another, which resulted in a 10th, 12th, and 17th place finish for the three, respectively. Espe led BU with a two-day total of 147 after firing a 74 on Sunday and a 73 on Monday. Bragg was neck-and-neck with Espe after the opening 18, but posted another 74 Monday for a 148. Jenson was right behind the first two, composing a 75 and a 76 for an overall score of 151.
Spencer Kronbeck rounded out Bethel's scoring with a 155.
Bethel 's spring season continues this weekend when they compete in UW-Eau Claire's Stoneridge Classic hosted at the Eau Claire Country Club.
