Box Score Box ScoreWHEATON, Ill. – The Bethel University men's soccer team fell 2-0 on the road at No. 20 Wheaton College in a non-conference tilt Friday night. The Royals were forced to play a man down from the 20 minute mark in the first period on due to a pair of yellow cards.
Wheaton scored both of their goals early on in the second period, the first at 53:20 and the second at 56:23.
AJ Syler made the start in goal and was able to make 12 saves to keep the Royals within striking distance. Bethel was unable to put a shot on goal in the contest while playing a man short. The loss drops Bethel to 4-3 overall and Wheaton improved to 7-2.
Bethel will take on the University of Chicago Saturday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. to complete their two-day trip to Illinois. Live stats for the match can be found
