MOORHEAD, Minn. - Concordia-Moorhead topped Bethel's men's soccer team 3-1 on a windy Saturday afternoon. The Cobbers took 11 shots on goal and landed three while holding the Royals to only five attempts at the net. Bethel is now 7-5-2 overall and 2-5-0 in MIAC play while Concordia improves to 5-7-1 overall and takes its first league win at 1-5-1.
Matthew Pisarski (Fr., West Des Moines, Iowa) netted the lone score for Bethel with the assist going to
Brian Holm (Jr., Champlin, Minn.). The goal came early on, just 6:28 into the game and set the score even at 1-1. Concordia came out quickly with a goal around the four minute mark and was held without another goal until just before the close of the first half.
Chris Scott (So., Cedar, Minn.) defended the goal in Saturday's game. He stopped eight shots and gave up three. Concordia's final goal was at the 81:06 mark.
The Royals host the University of Dubuque at Ona Orth Athletic Complex on Wednesday, October 19, with a 4 p.m. kick-off.
