Women's Soccer Finishes Season With Strong Win

ST. PAUL, Minn. - 
The women's soccer team was able to finish off the 2010 season on a high note defeating St. Kates 2-0. The win gives the Royals an overall record of 8-8-1 and 4-6-1 in the MIAC.

The Royals two goal came from Molly Miller (So., Denver, Colo.), and Leah Hardie (Jr., Ankeny, Ia.). As at team the Royals had 12 shots on goal. For the defense goalkeeper Alyssa Riggs (Sr., Columbia Heights, Minn.) had 9 saves.

This season the Royals lead the MIAC in shots, shooting 325 on the year, averaging 19.11 shots per game. The Royals also had the 4th highest number of goals on the year, scoring 37 goals, an average of 2.18 goals per game.

This young Royals squad only looses three seniors to graduation and will look to continue to improve in the coming years as the younger players continue to develop.
