Marie Borner, Bethel's lone female representative at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championship meet, won the mile run with a time of 4:50.20, which was more than seven seconds better than her nearest competitor. Borner's win is her fourth individual national championship, and is the second in the indoor mile run. She previously won in 2008, but finished second in 2009.
