Gilbert was a significant factor in Bethel's 5-1 week as she had at least one RBI in five games, and also made some outstanding plays in the field. On Tuesday against Saint Benedict, Gilbert was 3-for-9 with two runs and four RBI, including a three-run home run that gave Bethel an early lead in game two. Then on Thursday, Gilbert slapped a bases loaded double to right centerfield to drive in three runs in the nightcap of Bethel's doubleheader sweep of Augsburg. Gilbert was a combined 3-for-7 with four RBI. She also made a diving catch in the top of the seventh of game one that prevented the tying run from scoring, and helped get a runner thrown out at second in game two. Finally, on Saturday, Gilbert was a combined 3-for-6 in Bethel's split with St. Olaf. She scored what would prove to be the winning run of Bethel's playoff-clinching victory in game one, and had a pair of doubles and an RBI in game two. Gilbert is among the top three batters for Bethel in a number of offensive categories.
