Marie Borner added her fifth and sixth national championships to her long list of accolades last weekend by defending her title in the 1500-meter run and also taking the 800-meter run championship. Borner set a new stadium record with a time of 4:23.85 in the 1500m. About an hour and a half later, she went on to win the 800-meter run with a stadium, and NCAA Championship meet record time of 2:06.87. With her wins at the national meet and her post-season awards, Borner is the most decorated athlete in Bethel history.
