BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Senior
Will Karkoc was named MIAC Men's Golf Player of the Year, announced Monday afternoon by the conference office. Karkoc was also named to the All-Conference team along with
Jack Wellen and
Jacob Ferrin.
For the third consecutive season, a Royal was named MIAC Golfer of the Year after
Conor Schubring earned the honor the previous two seasons. Karkoc becomes the first golfer in program history, and seventh in MIAC history, to earn both Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year in their career.

• First player in program history to be a four-time All-MIAC honoree.
• Second player in program history to be named MIAC Player of the Year.
• Led the MIAC with a 72.8 scoring average, currently second-best in program history, playing in 27 rounds this season. Shot under par in 12 rounds.
• Holds six of the top 25 low rounds among MIAC golfers this season.
• Had five top-five finishes in 10 events.
• Finished fifth at the MIAC Championships to earn All-Championship Team honors.
Jack Wellen • Sr. • Minneapolis, Minn. (Spring Lake Park)
• Two-time All-MIAC honoree.
• Posted a 75.3 scoring average, which ranked 14th in the MIAC, in 25 rounds of golf. Shot under par in three rounds.
• Had two top-10 finishes in nine events.
• Finished tied for sixth at the MIAC Championships to earn All-Championship Team honors.
Jacob Ferrin • So. • Excelsior, Minn. (Southwest Christian)
• First All-MIAC honor.
• Carded a 75.5 scoring average in 27 rounds of golf, ranking 16th in the conference. Shot under par in three rounds.
• Notched one top-10 finish, placing tied for ninth at the Twin Cities Classic in the fall.
