ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Royals earned a victory at the Meet of the UnSaintly, hosted by Hamline, in the 4x400m relay as Alex Palm, Sam Raitz, Caleb Ketterling, and Gabe Kuecker ran 3:18.40 as they held off St. Olaf on the final stretch.Â
Josh Thomsen ran a season best 53.96 seconds in the 400H to take 4th place. That time ranks Thomsen 27th in Division III.Â
The 4x100m relay team of Cameron McConnell, Ty McCall, Sam Raitz, and Josh Lee took 2nd place with a time of 41.71 seconds.
Timmy Ball threw a personal best 49.71m / 163'1" in the discus to earn 2nd place. Phil Conant also tossed a personal best 47.88m / 157'1" for 3rd place. Their marks are 28th and 47th in Division III, respectively.
Ball was also the top Royal in the shot put, taking 5th place with 15.42m / 50'7.25". Evan Larsen took 6th, throwing just 1cm less.Â
Nick Bovitz took 4th place in the triple jump, soaring to 12.89m / 42'3.5". Bovitz also took 7th place in the long jump with a leap of 6.55m / 21'6".
Cameron McConnell took 5th place in the 100m dash with his time of 10.71 seconds.Â
Victor Lelinga placed 6th in the 800m, running a lifetime best 1:53.00.
Josh Lee was 6th in the 110H, running 15.73 seconds.
AJ Hokanson placed 6th in the hammer throw with his best toss of 52.39m / 171'10".
Josh Graske cleared a season best 3.96m / 12'11.75" in the pole vault to finish in a tie for 6th place.
Jonah Kalsnes ran a season best 9:58.29 in the 3000m steeplechase to take 7th place.
The Royals will compete next week on Friday and Saturday, May 9th and 10th at Macalester for the MIAC Championships.
