NORTHFIELD, MINN.—The Bethel University Royals won the 2026 MIAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championship with a 202.5. The Royals have won the MIAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championship for the third consecutive season.Â
Landen Liu won the 2026 MIAC Men's Outdoor 100 Meter Dash Championship with a 10.35, followed by Cameron McConnell's second-place time of 10.47.Â
The titles continued to roll in courtesy of Logan Swanson, who won the 2026 MIAC Men's Outdoor 110 Meter Hurdle Championship with a 14.64. Pryce Ferrin's 14.68 put him in second place, while Blake Viesselman's 15.07 was good enough for fifth place.Â
Grant Nelson's 21.11 claimed him the 2026 MIAC Men's Outdoor 200 Meter Dash Championship. The Royals swept the 200 meter dash podium thanks to Cameron McConnell's second-place time of 21.48, and Elliott Kent's third-place tally of 21.80. Stephen Feig's 21.83 in the 200 meter dash put him in fifth place.Â
Landen Liu, Grant Nelson, Cameron McConnell, and Stephen Feig claimed the 2026 MIAC Men's Outdoor 4x100 Meter Relay Championship with a 40.74, which puts them at No. 10 in NCAA Division III. The 4x400 Meter relay squad of Tony Haack, Caleb Ketterling, Brody Schelhaas, and Victor Lelinga captured third place with a 3:19.57.
The hardware continued for Grant Nelson as he won the 2026 MIAC Men's Outdoor 400 Meter Dash Championship with a school-record 46.06, which ranks atop NCAA Division III. That topped the previous school record of 46.20 achieved by Nelson in 2025. Elliott Kent followed with a second-place time of 47.37, which is a career best and stands at No. 22 in the country. The Royals were all over the 400 meter dash thanks to Caleb Ketterling's fourth-place time of 48.93, Brody Schelhaas's sixth-place mark of 49.69, Tony Haack's seventh-place tally of 49.80, and Will Sportel's eighth-place time of 49.94.Â
Viesselman's career-best 54.51 in the 400 meter hurdles put him in second, while Trevor Stundahl's 55.36 was good enough for fifth place.Â
The second-place trend continued in the hammer throw, where Adam Hokanson's school-record 57.27m ranks No. 26 in NCAA Division III. That broke his own school record of 57.12m achieved at the Macalester Rider/Bolstorff Invitational on April 25. Timmy Ball followed in fifth place with a 51.24m in the hammer, while Jonathan Ritz's 50.26 put him in sixth place.Â
Ball kept that momentum going in the shot put, where he registered a third-place toss of 16.08m. Adam Hokanson's 14.88m in the shot put gave him sixth place. Nick Bovitz also achieved a sixth-place standing in the triple jump, where he topped out at 13.60m.
The 5000 meter run resulted in a fifth-place time of 15:06.42 for Hootie Hage.Â
The Royals will compete in various last chance meets in the coming weeks with hopes of qualifying for the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championship in La Crosse, Wisconsin on May 21-23.
