NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The Bethel University women's golf team finished fifth at the St. Olaf/Carleton Spring Invite this past weekend at Willingers Golf Club. Bethel carded a 653 (+77) in the two-round event having shot a 327 in round one and 326 in round two.
Laura Beltman and
Sophie Brantner both placed in the top 10 for the Royals with Beltman finishing fourth and Brantner tied for ninth.
Beltman shot a 156 (+12) for her sixth career top-five finish. She shot a two-over-par 74 in the opening round highlighted by an eagle on the par-four 13th hole that played 325 yards. In round two she carded an 82.
Brantner carded a 161 (+17) for her seventh career top 10 finish. After shooting an 84 in round one, she shot a five-over par 77 in round two, climbing 13 spots up the leaderboard. She concluded the tournament with a birdie on the par five 18th hole that played 471 yards.
