MENOMONIE, Wis. - The throwers led the Royals at the Stout Quad on Friday evening.

AJ Hokanson won the weight throw in a back-and-forth battle with teammate Evan Larsen who took 2nd place. Hokanson threw 17.31m / 56'9.5", while Larsen threw 17.25m / 56'7.25". Sophomore Phil Conant had a massive personal best to take 4th place overall. Conant threw 16.36 / 53'8.25", nearly 6 feet further than his previous best. Hokanson also took 6th place in the shot put with a toss of 15.25m / 50'0.5".

Grant Graber ran his way to a 5th place finish in the mile. Graber ran 4:20.75 - a 14 second personal best.

Taaron Rudzitis ran a season best of 51.83 in the 400m to take 5th place.

Josh Graske took 7th place place in the pole vault, clearing 4.16m / 13'7.75".

David Price ran an indoor best of 16:20.66 in the 5k to take 8th place, just ahead of freshman teammate Thomas Avra who took 9th in 16:22.41.

The Royals will compete next week on Friday at the University of Minnesota, and will host the Gene Glader Classic on Saturday, February 22nd in the Bethel Sport and Recreation Center.
