The Bethel University women's soccer team capped off Senior Day with a strong defensive performance, playing to a 0–0 draw against Hamline University Saturday afternoon at Ona Orth Athletic Complex.
Before kickoff, the Royals celebrated their senior class for their leadership and impact on the program. Once the whistle blew, Bethel channeled that energy into one of their most complete team performances of the season.
The Royals controlled much of the match, outshooting Hamline 8–6 and holding a 4–2 advantage in corner kicks. Malia Beilby led the attack with three shots, while Jessica Oliver and Natalie Daniels each recorded a shot on goal that forced the Pipers' keeper into action. Bethel's offensive pressure grew in the second half, but the final touch eluded them despite several promising looks.
Defensively, Bethel was organized and composed from start to finish. The back line—anchored by Anna Sukle, Kendall Craigan, and Taylor Sievert—limited Hamline to just three shots on goal. In net, Autumn Maki delivered a steady performance, recording three saves en route to her second shutout of the season.
With the result, Bethel moves to 2–11–2 overall and 2–5–1 in MIAC play, continuing to show defensive toughness and growth late in the season.
The Royals return to action on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m., traveling to St. Catherine University for another MIAC matchup.
