ST. CLOUD, Minn. – The Bethel University women's golf team notched a third-place finish at the 2024 MIAC Championships played at the St. Cloud Country Club Saturday through Monday. The Royals carded a program record 937 (+73) in the 54-hole event, finishing two strokes behind Carleton who placed second. St. Catherine repeated as champions carding a 904.
The 54-hole mark is the best for the Royals since the 2019 MIAC Championships where they carded a 941 (315-318-308).
The Royals carded a 315 in the opening round before shooting 309 on day two and finishing with a 313.

Laura Beltman notched All-Tournament Team honors having notched an individual top-10 finish.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Greta McArthur notched her best MIAC Championship finish placing second matching a career-best 11-over-par 227. She fired a five-over-par 77 in the opening two rounds before besting that with a one-over-par 73 that jumped her four spots on the leaderboard. In the final round on Monday, she notched a pair of birdies while limiting herself to one bogey and one double bogey.

Laura Beltman finished tied for seventh, her best MIAC finish, with a career-best 234. She opened the weekend with a 78 before notching two birdies in round two to help card a 77. Beltman recovered from a bogey-filled front nine finishing with a 79 in the final round.

Sophie Brantner finished 14th with a career-best 237. She fired an 81 in the first round before improving in round two and three with a 78 in each thanks to a combined five birdies.

Jasmyn Sibell playing in her first MIAC Championship finished tied for 17th carding a 244 (+28). She opened the tournament shooting an 80 that was capped by a birdie on the par-four 18th green. She then shot an 81 on Sunday and followed it with an 83 on the final day.

Jill Erickson playing in her second MIAC Championship finished 19th with a 246 (+30). She carded an 80 in the first round before shaving off three strokes in round two with a five-over-par 77 thanks to a pair of birdies on the front nine. She shot an 89 on Monday.
