HASTINGS, Minn. – Behind three top-five finishers, the Bethel University women's golf team placed first at the D3 Classic hosted by Gustauvs Adolphus at Emerald Greens Golf Course. The Royals' carded a season-best 608 shooting a 305 in round one and 303 in round two.
Jill Erickson was BU's top finisher placing tied for third with a five-over-par 149. She carded a 75 in the opening round before shoot a 74, one off her career low, in round two.
Laura Beltman and
Sophie Brantner each tied for fifth carding a 151 (+7). Beltman was a stroke shy of her 36-hole career-low shooting a 77 in the first round and 74 in round two. Brantner started the week out strong with a career-low 74 before shooting a 77 on day two while setting a new career 36-hole best mark.

The Royals' attention turns to the MIAC Championships set for Saturday, Sept. 28 through Monday, Sept. 30. The 54-hole event is set to be played at St. Cloud Country Club.
