WOODBURY, Minn. – A ninth-place finish from senior
Laura Beltman paced the Bethel University women's golf team to a fourth-place finish at the St. Kate's Fall Invite. The Royals shot a two-day total of 626 (316-310) tying with Macalester while Carlton finished second and St. Catherine first.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Laura Beltman tied for ninth place carding an eight-over-par 152. Beltman fired an 80 in the opening round, which featured rain, before shooting a career-low and even par 72 on Sunday. She started the final round with nine straight pars on the front nine before getting two birdies and two bogeys on the backstretch.

Jill Erickson tied for 19th with a 159 carding a 79 in the opening round and 80 on day two. She concluded the weekend birding two of her final three holes including the par-four, 324-yard 18th green.

Sophie Brantner rounded out the top scorers also placing 19th with a 159. She shot an 81 on the first day after teeing off in the heart of a misty Saturday before shooting a six-over-par 78 on the second day.

The Royals get one more tune up before the MIAC Championship golfing in the D3 Classic hosted by Gustavus Adolphus. The two-day event tees off at Emerald Greens in Hastings on Saturday, Sept. 21.
