ARDEN HILLS, Minn. – Earning one of the 20 at-large bids into the NCAA Championship field, the Bethel University softball team is headed back to Pella, Iowa for the 2024 NCAA Division III Softball Championships. The Royals open up against Wisconsin-Whitewater, who won the WIAC tournament, on Thursday at 2:30 p.m.
 
The host Central (IA), who received an at-large bid, hosts the UMAC champions in Wisconsin-Superior. The four-team double-elimination regional is set to take place May 16-18.
 
BU enters the tournament with a 30-9 overall record, marking three straight seasons of 30-plus wins. The Royals are making their third consecutive trip to the NCAA tournament after reaching the super regionals the last two seasons.  BU won last year's Pella Regional defeating the host Dutch in the championship game 1-0 before falling to Linfield in the supers in a pair of 1-0 games.
