NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The Bethel University women's cross country team posted a fifth-place finish at the MIAC Championship, totaling 120 points. It matches the Royals' best finish since 2021.
Bethel posted a pair of All-Conference performances, given to the top-15 finishers, as senior
Ruby Gernandt finished 14th and senior
Josie Harms placed 15th.
Gernandt ran a collegiate-best 23:10.7 as Bethel's top finisher while Harms wasn't too far behind crossing the line at 23:13.1 for a career-best finish at the MIAC Championship meet.
Junior
Anna Cargill earned All-Conference Honorable Mention honors, placing 18th in a time of 23:21.9.
Freshman
Ava Nibbelink placed 30th in her first MIAC Championship with a season-best 23:58.4.
Anna Hay and Madison Stackhouse rounded out BU's scoring runners finishing 60th and 80th respectively.
Bethel is back on the course on Saturday, Nov. 16 for the NCAA North Region Championships which will be run at Carleton College. Race time is 11 a.m.
