RESULTS
MENOMONIE, Wis. – The #6 ranked Bethel Royals competed at the UW-Stout Quad on Friday, February 10th.
Josh Sampson won the 60m hurdles in race that was separated by less that 0.01. Sampson earned the victory at the line with a time of 8.24, just 0.008 ahead of 2
nd place.
Sam Gardeen continued his terrific season in the pole vault by being the top collegiate finisher on Friday. Gardeen took 2
nd place overall and had a clean sheet through 4.43m / 14'6.25".
The Royals earned 3 other 2
nd place finishes.
Cameron McConnell ran a personal best 7.10 in the 60m dash to earn runner-up.
Grant Nelson blazed around the track in the 200m to run into Bethel's top-10 all-time list with his time of 22.58, placing 2
nd overall.
Simon Swenson took 2
nd place in the long jump with his leap of 6.38m / 20'11.25". Nelson also placed well in the long jump, finishing 4
th with a jump of 6.26m / 20'6.5".
Alec Braun jumped a personal best 1.90m / 6'2.75" in the high jump, which placed him 4
th overall.
David Myres led the Royals in the 400m with his time of 53.46.
Tony Haack was 4
th in 53.65 and
Collin Asplin was 5
th in 53.67.
Godsword Simon added another top-5 finish with his time of 7.32 in the 60m dash.
The Royals will have a busy week with the team splitting at three different meets. Bethel will compete at the University of Minnesota and at UW-La Crosse on Friday, February 17
th, and will host the Gene Glader Classic on Saturday, February 18
th.
