Picking up a three-set win in the regular season finale against Augsburg, the Bethel University volleyball team landed the No. 5 seed in the MIAC Playoffs making its ninth straight appearance. BU travels Monday night to fourth-seeded St. Catherine for the quarterfinals. First serve is set for 7 p.m.

The winner advances to take on top-seeded Gustavus Adolphus Thursday in the Semifinals.

ROYALS IN THE MIAC PLAYOFFS
• BU is making its 16th overall appearance in the MIAC Playoffs and its ninth consecutive appearance. The Royals are 13-16 all-time in playoff history after falling in the quarterfinals last year as a four seed to fifth seed Saint Benedict, 3-1.
• Against St. Kate's the Royals are 1-0 in playoff matches with the only meeting coming in 2000 where BU won 3-0.
• BU is a five seed for the second time, the other being in 2016 where they reached the MIAC Championship match falling to Gustavus 3-1.Â
SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION
• St. Kate's is making back-to-back playoff appearances for the first time in program history and is just the fourth overall appearance for the Wildcats.
• SCU enters the postseason with a 15-9 overall record while finishing 6-5 in league matches.
• Defensively St. Kate's allows the second-lowest opponent hitting percentage at .153 and is second at 166 total blocks and 1.78 blocks per set. Offensively they are ninth in the MIAC in hitting percentage with a .141 mark.
• Madison Fagan is second in the league with 83 blocks and a 0.89 blocks per set mark.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING

Peyton Howie leads the MIAC in hitting percentage with a .308 mark while
Dani Friedges is third with a 3.56 kills per set mark and is fourth 335 kills.
