DULUTH, Minn. – Road games in the MIAC aren't always easy but the Bethel University women's basketball team made it look easy in Duluth Wednesday night defeating St. Scholastica 82-64.

Bethel (10-5, 10-2) had 10 players in double figures and was fueled by its 41 bench points. The Royals shot 43.9 percent (29-of-66) compared to St. Scholastica's (0-14, 0-12 MIAC) 41 percent (16-of-39).

The Royals forced 31 turnovers turning it into 32 points on the other end. BU dominated the paint by a 40-18 scoring margin.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half
• Couple of early turnovers from Bethel allowed the Saints to hit a handful of free throws as CSS led for 1:41 of the opening minutes.
• The Royals defense was lights out in the first holding CSS to one field goal while opening up their lead to 13-5.
• BU didn't waste to many possessions in the second quarter going 10-of-16 from the floor.

Kendal Cox knocked down a pair of threes and
Courtney Nuest added six points as well giving the Royals a 40-22 at the break.

Second Half
• The Royals continued to work it down low in the third getting a lead as large as 29.

Autumn Earney picked up steam knocking down a pair of treys.
•
Rosalie Penke's jumper with 5:13 to go in the game landed Bethel its largest lead of the night at 76-43.

Courtney Nuest finished with a team-high 18 points and a career-high seven steals.

Autumn Earney dropped a career-high 16 points while
Colette Duininck also poured in a career-high mark of 12 points.
