WEST SALEM, Wisc. – The Royals placed 4
th out of 30 teams at the Tori Neubauer Invite with 186 team points on Saturday. The outcome wasn't a surprise to Head Coach
Kevin Rengo. "No doubt our women raced really well today, which is a testament to what they have been doing in practice for the past weeks and months," said Rengo. "We raced with confidence and courage, and I saw tons of teamwork on the course with our pack running."
Mikayla Erlenborn led the Royals with an 8
th place finish. Her time of 22:26 is the 8
th fastest 6k in program history.
Josie Harms improved her personal best time by 57 seconds to take 11
th place. Her time of 22:46 ranks as the 12
th fastest 6k in program history. Captain
Anna Decker also came away with a personal best time of 24:02, which placed her 59
th overall.
Evie Hage (24:11) and
Raina Moorjani (24:18) both had season best times and placed 64
th and 69
th, respectively.
"Our women were ready for this race and we feel this will propel us into the conference meet in two weeks," says Rengo.
The Royals now move into championship racing. Bethel will compete at the MIAC Championships on Saturday, October 29th at Highland Park Golf Course in St. Paul. You can find all of the meet information at the MIAC Championship website.
