Men Finish Regular Season at St. Olaf

RESULTS

NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The Bethel men's track and field team closed out the regular season at the Tolstrud Classic at St. Olaf College on Saturday, February 16. "This weekend was about getting some solid marks and preparing mentally and physically for the conference meet," says Head Coach Andrew Rock.

Freshman Nic Jones led the way by racing to a 2nd place finish and a personal best of 7.22 seconds in the 60m dash. Brandon Loverude overcame an illness and ran a perfectly executed 400m race to place 4th with an indoor best 51.80. Brendon Nuese held on in the 600m to earned 6th place with 1:30.63. Senior Evan Hatton ran his season best time in the 1000m run against a very talented field. Hatton took 6th place by running 2:31.74

Anders Rasmussen was the top finisher in the 3000m for the Royals in 8th (9:13.01). The 3000m race featured four lifetime bests from the Royals distance crew. Caleb Foster (9:30.45), Ryan Davis (9:33.11), Tim Huss (9:38.72), and Tim Zehr (10:15.78) all ran the fastest 3k of their careers.

"After this weekend, we're ready to roll into our championship season now," says Head Coach Andrew Rock. The Royals will compete next at the MIAC Indoor Championships, which takes place February 21-23 at St. Olaf College.
