RESULTS
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The Bethel Royals sent several athletes to the University of Minnesota to compete at the Snowshoe Open. The men's 4x400m relay team won the final event of the day by edging out the team from the University of Minnesota. The quartet of Shawn Monroe, Isaac Erickson, Nolan Metz, and Carl Klamm ran a blazing 3:18.98, a time that ranks them second on the NCAA Division III honor roll this year.
Freshman Joel Smith took fourth place in the 60m hurdles (8.77), while sophomore Malachi Lossow took fifth place in the 60m dash (7.17). Cooper Hitt had a season best time in the 600m of 1:25.15 to earn seventh place. Andy Barnhart added another personal best to his list of accomplishments this year. Barnhart placed fourth in the unseeded mile by running 4:26.46. Boston Knighton-Johnson also had a season best jump in the pole vault by clearing 4.20m (13'9.25") and taking fifth place.
The men's team will take the track on Saturday, February 16th at St. Olaf, while the women's team will compete at the University of Minnesota that same day.
