LIBURN, Ga. – Off to one of its best starts in program history, the Bethel University women's basketball team entered the top 25 in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's (WBCA) Top-25 Poll. The 7-0 Royals received 22 points jumping them from receiving votes section to No. 24 in the organization's Dec. 10 poll.
The Royals have won their first seven games for the first time in program history outscoring their opponents by an average 27.1 points, ranking as the fifth best in the NCAA. BU ranks as the eighth best shooting team in the country with a 47.3 percent mark and ranks 10th in 3-point field goal percentage at 39 percent. On the defensive side of things, Bethel has forced the seventh most turnovers at 29.14 per game and have the eighth most steals in the NCAA with 129.
As one of the 19 teams left in Division III to remain undefeated, Bethel puts its perfect record on the line Tuesday, Nov. 10 at St. Catherine. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
