ROCK ISLAND, Ill.—Bethel University's men's track and field team enjoyed warmer temperatures at Augutana College's Meet of Champions Saturday. The Royals recorded many Top 10 finishes along with several times that rank highly among the national honor roll.

BU once again used the 400-meter race to their advantage Saturday, finishing with three Top 10 times in the event.
Karl Olsen crossed the finish line second with a time of 47.47, just ahead of
Carl Klamm, who finished third in 48.04.
Isaac Erickson posted a 49.34, which placed eighth. Olsen now ranks No. 2 nationwide, just behind Loras's Mikel Patrick, who not only finished one spot ahead of him at Augustana, but also at the Indoor 400 in March. Klamm's time ranks No. 9 among all NCAA Division III runners.

The trio of 400-meter sprinters, along with
Evan Hatton, had even more success later in the day when the quartet ran a time of 3:13.75 in the 4x400-meter relay. Not only did that time rank No. 1 at Augustana, but it also currently ranks No. 1 among all NCAA Division III honor roll.

Hatton also made noise individually, winning the 800-meter race with a time of 1:53.30. He edged BU's
Taylor Huffman and
Ezekiel Lelinga.
