LA CROSSE, WIS.—Day two of the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championship was upon the Bethel University Royals in La Crosse, Wisconsin on Friday.
Grant Nelson finished atop the 400 meter dash prelims field with a 46.70. He will look to maintain that first-place standing in the 400 meter dash finals, scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, May 23 at 1:20 p.m.
Nelson, along with Landen Liu, Stephen Feig, and Cameron McConnell crossed the finish line at 40.24 in the 4x100 meter relay prelims, good enough for fourth place. That mark tied a school record achieved my Liu, Nelson, McConnell, and Jacob Parent in 2024, and secured them a spot in the 4x100 meter relay finals scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, May 23 at 12:15 p.m.
Landen Liu represented the Royals in the 100 meter dash prelims, where he earned All-America Second Team with a 12th-place time of 10.51.Â
The Royals will look to rack more team points on day three of the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championship tomorrow, Saturday, May 23.
